Stop your hunt for the ultimate eggless Date Cake because I’ve got you covered! This recipe is a game-changer with no Maida, no added sugar, and made with wholesome whole wheat flour. Trust me, it’s a divine treat you don’t want to miss out on. Give it a try!

25 Dates (pitted) (197g)
(1 + 1/2 cups) Hot Milk (375g)
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil (95g) (you can use melted butter, ghee or applesauce as well)
1 cup Whole wheat Flour (120g)
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup Walnuts (chopped) 50gm
Optional: Mix a small amount of water and icing sugar to a somewhat thick consistency, to drizzle over the cake once cooled down.

Method:
* Soak the pitted dates in Hot milk for 1 hour so that they become super soft.
* Then in a bowl, add flour, baking powder and baking soda. Whisk well.
* Then once the dates become soft, blend them into a smooth paste and transfer to a bowl. Add in vegetable oil and mix well.
* Add in your dry ingredients and whisk.
* Transfer the batter to a 6’inch lined tin, top it up with walnuts and bake at 180 degrees for about 50 mins or until a skewer inserted in comes out clean!
