You must have had masala soda on the streets to get in the most required refreshing kick during summer. Here is the recipe of how to make it at home. Made using absolutely basic ingredients, the drink can be prepared in a jiffy.

MASALA SODA

Ingredients

1 tsp black salt
1 tsp crushed black peppercorns
1 tsp chaat masala
Drinking soda as required
½ cup sugar
25-30 fresh mint leaves
4 lemons, halved
Ice cubes as required

Method

1. Take sugar in a bowl. Add ½ cup warm water and mix well. Set aside till the sugar melts.
2. To make one serving, put 2 tbsps of the prepared syrup in a serving glass. Add ¼ tsp black salt, ¼ tsp crushed black peppercorns, ¼ tsp chaat masala, 6-8 mint leaves and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into it and mix well. Add ice cubes and top it up with drinking soda. Serve immediately.
